Seat Belts


The original lap and diagonal seat belts were completely shot - rusted solid and with threadbare webbing, see below:

For safety reasons, I therefore had a new pair of lap and diagonal inertia reel belts made by Quickfit SBS in Stanmore, Middlesex, (see below) in period style with chrome buckle (suitable for cars built and registered up to the end of 1972). All their seat belts are manufactured under European standard R16 and under ISO9002 quality control procedures and are tested to British standard BS3254 for period style seat belts.
