A GT6 Mk3 has been immortalised in art by none other than Banksy! It was painted by him in lurid pink and features a “skeleton” driver image in the drivers door window.

According to London’s Truman Brewery (in whose complex it resides) the ‘Triumph of Death’ sits on top of an old shipping container in Elys Yard. The old Spitfire GT6 was there for sometime before Banksy gave it the makeover in 2004! The car features in many Banksy books and is a big attraction in the area”.

Although now protected by a perspex box it has allegedly deteriorated considerably (like all GT6s!!) and the skeleton “driver” has been replaced by a board.
